Michael Langeder + Griet Depoorter Cut the tree

Cut The Tree is a versatile item of park furniture that is based on wood in its most natural and recognisable form. With minimum interference, the trunk of the tree is reshaped into furniture; the only way in which it is interfered with is its segmenting into parallel elements, each provided with a range of “cut outs”.

What do others have to say about it?

Un projet nommé “cut the tree” … alors que le thème est “embrassons les arbres …

  5. Interesting project suggesting people prefer everything but real furniture for sitting: grass, a rock, a cut down tree… Using renewable materials. A simple concept which might just do the trick. I look forward to try sit on your project. And besides, if a tree this size wants to hug you, you can at least expect it to lay down to get closer, no? Happy cutting there.

  6. poëtisch

  7. Zeer leuke presentatie
