Only a week left

It was more than about time for us to keep everyone updated. The last weeks have been both exhausting and very exciting for everyone here, but that’s the price to pay for all the good news we have to offer today :

The inauguration-party

The inauguration-party of the exhibition in the park had been planned for june 28, but we’ve postponed it to july 5 (and the weather seems to show that was a nice idea). Which means there’s only a week left before you can all discover the 5 brand new prototypes, but also a performance by Elsa Bishop, a French trapezist, called ‘Au fil de l’Arbre’.

Everyone can follow the upcoming (crazy) days where the prototypes will be finished, shipped and installed, either on the front-page or right here. You’re also welcome to go great the team in the park, to join them in their sun-dances and other types of prayers they put together as soon as a nasty-looking cloud comes up in the sky.

The publication book

We had announced a publication. There won’t be any. Instead, we bring you : ‘Parckdesign’ – the book. 128 pages, hundreds of pictures, a gorgeous binding, an essay, opinions of members of the jury, and of course many many projects, all in three languages.

We’re very greatful Stichting Kunstboek (the editor) gave us such an opportunity. We’re hoping (and are quite confident) it will be a big success in book stores, that it will give participants international visibility, which perhaps might lead them to new opportunities.

All participants will get one delivered by mail as soon as we can. Design addicts, park lovers, and all the rest of you will have to wait until they show up in the best book stores near you.
